Serko appoints Young as chief technology officer
New Zealand-based corporate travel technology provider Serko has named Simon Young as chief technology officer.
Young joined Serko in 2023 as vice president of engineering after previously holding executive roles as chief product and technology officer at Trade Me and vice president of engineering at Halter.
He has been acting as Serko’s CTO since April and this move formally makes his position permanent.
Young will focus on fostering innovation and enhancing product development through new technologies.
He will also lead the Serko team to optimise the current technology infrastructure “to meet the evolving needs” of Serko’s current clients and partners, according to a statement from the company.
Young added that Serko’s technology goal was to “accelerate our global ambitions in business travel”.
