Euro 2024 final: Date, kick-off time, TV channel and predictions

The Euro 2024 trophy is within grasping distance for four teams vying for a place in the final this Sunday.

With just days to go, England, the Netherlands, France and Spain are all in the running for a place in Sunday’s all-important match.

Spain will play France on Tuesday night in Munich in the first of two semi-finals and England will play the Netherlands on Wednesday night in Dortmund.

The winners from both semi-final matches will go through to the final on Sunday.

England manager Gareth Southgate has said he believes his team “can deliver” in the semi-final and make it through to Sunday.

With that in mind, here’s all you need to know to watch the action.

When is the Euro 2024 final?

The Uefa Euro 2024 final will be played on Sunday 14 July, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm (BST) which is 9pm local time in Germany.

It is being held exactly one month after the tournament began on Friday 14 June, when 24 teams were in the running for the cup.

How can I watch the Euro 2024 final?

The Euro 2024 final will be available to watch live on BBC One and ITV1 with pre and post-match analysis and commentary.

Coverage on the BBC is from 7pm-10.30pm and on ITV from 6.30pm -10.45pm.

The match can also be viewed on the BBC Sport website and streamed on the BBC iPlayer and ITVX.

Viewers in Scotland will be able to watch it on STV and stream in on STV Player.

Where is the final being played?

The match will take place at Olympiastadion Berlin, the biggest stadium in the tournament with a capacity of 71,000. 

The stadium is normally home to Hertha BSC Berlin and has also staged every German Cup final since 1985 as well as several high-profile European and international games, including the 2006 Fifa World Cup final between Italy and France and the 2015 Uefa Champions League final.

But this will be the first time that the Olympiastadion Berlin has staged a Euro final.

Who will win Euro 2024?

England were pre-tournament favourites to win Euro 2024 but their performance so far has come in for criticism.

Although Germany has been knocked out, Spain is still in with a chance.

France has been accused of functional football, while the Netherlands scraped through in third place in their group but improved during the knock-outs.

According to the Economics Observatory, France and Spain have around a 30 per cent chance of lifting the trophy, while the English and Dutch have about a 20 per cent chance.

It stated that the final four countries “couldn’t have been paired more closely in their semi-finals” and “each nation remaining in the tournament has a 50 per cent chance of being in the final in Berlin on Sunday”.

However, it added: “The superiority of France and Spain over England and the Netherlands is such that the combatants in the first semi-final have a roughly 30 per cent chance of lifting the trophy compared with the English or Dutch, who have about a 20 per cent chance.”

Bookmakers Bet365 has Spain as the 2/1 favourite to win the Euro 2024 final on Sunday. The second favourite is England with odds of 5/2, France are third with 11/4 and the Netherlands are the outsiders at 9/2.
