Focus Travel Partnership agrees deal with International Rail
UK-based TMC consortium Focus Travel Partnership has signed a deal with ticketing platform International Rail to allow members to access the latter’s rail content.
Through the partnership, International Rail will become a ‘preferred supplier’ for the consortium’s 53 agencies and, according to the companies, will provide content for more than 66,000 point-to-point routes in Europe, as well as “extensive coverage” of routes across North America, Japan, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Tony Edge, business solutions manager at Focus Travel Partnership, which was ranked among Europe’s top 10 TMC networks in BTN Europe’s Leading TMCs 2024 report, said: “We are delighted to bring this new solution to our TMC partners… through the extensive content available, our partners can now grow their rail offering overseas as well as being able to offer a more sustainable alternative to domestic flights internationally.”
International Rail commercial director, Caitlin Cornish, added: “Joining the collaborative voice of the Focus Travel Partnership will be invaluable in making sure we shape the future of global business travel together… Next year we celebrate three decades in the industry. We want to share the expertise we’ve developed over this time with our fellow Focus Travel partners while learning from their valuable experience too.”
