Ferrari will extend the payment
system in cryptocurrency for its luxury sports cars to European
dealers starting at the end of July after successfully
introducing the scheme in the United States less than a year ago
as an alternative payment method.
The Maranello-based company said it will also extend
cryptocurrency transactions by the end of 2024 to other
countries that are part of Ferrari’s international dealership
network in which they are legal.
Ferrari said it is cooperating with various companies active in
the cryptocurrency payment sector to ensure transaction safety.
The majority of the carmaker’s European dealers are in the
process of adopting the new payment scheme in addition to
traditional systems, Ferrari said.
