Unreal Catch by Using Foot in Europe Cricket Championship

Fielding is as important in a cricket game as batting and bowling. As a result, catches that were marked as unbelievable a decade ago, are now more and more common to witness, just like the superman catch taken by Suryakumar Yadav that helped India win the T20 World Cup 2024.

Players need to have good reflexes and complete concentration when it comes to pull off some noticeably impressive catches. People expect an international cricketer to take every catch that comes in their possible range since they grind days in and nights out. However, when such catches come in not-so-popular tournaments, people can only respect the player and applaud for them as the small scale players don’t usually get much facilities to train with.

One similar incident happened in a European Cricket Championship where a fielder used his foot to catch the ball. The ball was on its way towards the long-on and looked like it would touch the ground before the fielder could reach it. As the fielder was just a few steps away from the ball, it was not looking possible for the fielder to bend down in order to take a catch, so he just put out his foot on the path of the ball and it just bounced off in the air and he caught it with one hand
