According to a report by Sports Zone, Napoli have reached an agreement with Brighton for Billy Gilmour (23). The French outlet notes that the player and Italian club have already personal terms a week ago.
Napoli have been heavily linked with the Premier League this summer having already brought in Romelu Lukaku (31) from Chelsea FC as a replacement for the soon-to-be leaving Victor Osimhen (25), while Scott McTominay (27) has arrived in the southern city ahead of his transfer from Manchester United.
Gilmour will provide some creativity and control for new manager Antonio Conte’s side as the club hope to return to their place within Europe’s elite after missing out on European football with a 10th-place finish to the 2023/24 campaign.
The Italian side have had a mixed start to the new season under Conte having lost their first game against Hellas Verona 3-0 but winning their next encounter against Bologna by the same scoreline.
