Delta adds seven European routes for summer 2025

Delta Air Lines is introducing seven new European routes as part of an expanded summer 2025 transatlantic schedule, including four new services to Italy.

The US carrier will launch routes from Atlanta to Naples (four flights times per week), Minneapolis-St Paul to Rome (four per week), Boston to Milan (four per week) and New York JFK to Catania (daily) in Sicily in May 2025.

Delta’s other new European routes in summer 2025 will be Boston to Barcelona (three flights per week), Detroit to Dublin (four per week) and Atlanta to Brussels (three per week).

The airline will increase capacity on five existing European routes, with flights from Atlanta to Athens rising to 11 per week, Atlanta-Barcelona going up to 10 weekly services and 17 flights per week operating on the Atlanta-Rome route.

Delta will also upgrade its Atlanta-Zurich route to a daily service next summer, while flights between Detroit and Munich will operate daily as well.

Joe Esposito, Delta’s senior vice president of network planning, said the airline would operate 700 weekly flights to 33 European destinations during summer 2025, which will be its largest ever transatlantic schedule.

“We’re expanding access to key cities like Barcelona and Dublin with new routes, while introducing our first-ever non-stop service to Catania, Sicily,” added Esposito.

The airline has also recently opened a new Delta One lounge at New York’s JFK airport, as well as rolling out free wifi on international flights and adding more premium seating on its Airbus A330-900 and A350-900 aircraft.
