Clarity secures accessibility accreditation for booking tool
UK-based TMC Clarity’s new booking tool ClarityGo has secured accreditation for being accessible to a wide range of users.
Proprietary platform Clarity Go, which was launched in June after being in development for three years, has achieved “level AA” within the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.2 from the Digital Accessibility Centre.
“ClarityGo underwent both a technical compliance audit and robust end-to-end testing by users with a wide range of disabilities, including blind, low vision, dyslexia, colour blindness, mobility impairments, learning difficulties, deaf, Asperger, and anxiety and panic disorder,” said the Digital Accessibility Centre in a statement.
The centre’s testing of Clarity’s platform was also carried out “in line” with accessibility guidelines for websites and apps in both the UK and the US.
Sue Chapman, Clarity’s executive director for product and commercial, said the TMC had created ClarityGo as a “bespoke solution tailored to our customers’ specific needs and challenges”.
“Ensuring our technology is accessible to every user has been a primary focus of our roadmap,” she added. “This accreditation solidifies our vision and dedication to providing accessible technology.”
Clarity said in a statement that the launch of ClarityGo had helped to increase online adoption rates by clients from an average of 70 per cent to 96 per cent.
