Mariusz Spiewak leads Consulting and Deals business of PwC in CEE region

PwC has promoted Mariusz Spiewak to manging partner of its Advisory business in Central and Eastern Europe.

Effective immediately, Mariusz Spiewak will lead a team of over 3,300 consultants and staff in 23 countries, including in Poland where he is based. Spiewak has been with PwC’s Polish organization his entire career, joining the Big Four firm in 1998 and growing the ranks within the Consulting business. Prior to stepping up, he was the manging partner of the Consulting team in Poland.

“Mariusz has grown into a key figure within our Consulting department in Poland and the entire Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region,” said Adam Krason President and Managing Partner of PwC in the CEE region. “His contribution to the development of advisory services, risk management and digital transformation for clients from various sectors has been invaluable.”

In his new role as Advisory Leader, Spiewak will lead the Deals and Consulting divisions, and also oversee Strategy&, the firm’s strategy consulting business.

“Under the leadership of Mariusz, the combined forces of our departments will continue to deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients, supporting them at every stage of transformation. I am certain that he will help bring our Advisory offering to new heights,” Krason said.

Spiewak himself focuses on management and digital consulting services to the financial services sector. He specializes in risk management, capital management and corporate treasury. He has led several large risk and finance transformations in Poland and internationally, and been engaged in numerous projects related to Basel II implementations.

Reflecting on his role, Spiewak said: “Our Deals division supports our clients in capital transactions and building value through inorganic growth. Our Consulting practice meanwhile focuses on comprehensive solutions that help organizations design, manage and implement lasting change at every stage of the business lifecycle. Working closely with clients, we will seek to offer integrated services that enhance long-term value.”
