Rail Europe enters agreement with Emerging Travel Group

Train booking platform Rail Europe has entered an agreement with travel technology provider Emerging Travel Group to integrate rail content into the latter’s online booking tools, RateHawk and Roundtrip.

The deal will provide users with access to a “range” of rail services across Europe, including high-speed and intercity connections, via an API integration.

Rail Europe said its RailAPI provides real-time booking, the option to book multi-carrier journeys and “easy” management of after-sales services, such as exchanges and refunds, directly via the RateHawk and Roundtrip platforms.

Rail Europe CEO Björn Bender, said: “This partnership brings us closer to our vision of making European rail travel as simple and accessible as possible… For corporate travellers, this means a more flexible and profitable way to manage business travel, while offering a truly memorable experience with the added benefit of reducing their carbon footprint.”

Fredrik Bonnalt, head of non-accommodation supply at UAE-based Emerging Travel Group, added: “Rail travel offers great opportunities for our partners’ businesses, enabling them to meet customer needs and attract new clients.”

Based in Paris, Rail Europe provides content from 200 rail providers such as SNCF, Eurostar, Trenitalia, Deutsche Bahn, Renfe and UK train operators.
