Accor opens new TRIBE hotel at Manchester Airport

Accor’s design-led TRIBE brand has opened a new property at Manchester Airport, which becomes the brand’s second hotel in the UK.

The 412-room TRIBE Manchester Airport is located within walking distance of the airport’s terminals. The property also features an Italian-themed restaurant and bar, plus a breakfast room which can be converted into an event or private dining space.

TRIBE, which was founded in 2017 in Australia, already operates a hotel in London’s Canary Wharf, as well as properties in Paris, Dusseldorf, Budapest, Riga in Latvia, and at Milan Malpensa Airport.

Pauline Oster, vice president of TRIBE Europe & North Africa, said: “TRIBE is a cool and confident brand which makes it the perfect addition to a city like Manchester, which has such a vibrant and lively culture.

“With more openings to come in cities like Paris, Budapest, Krakow and The Hague, TRIBE is well positioned to further expand across the region.”

The Manchester property is being operated by hotel management company Aimbridge Hospitality.

David Anderson, Aimbridge’s divisional president EMEA, added: “We’re thrilled to be operating this new property at what is a very exciting time for Manchester Airport with the introduction of multiple new routes and the continued evolution of a next-generation Terminal 2.”
