AirPlus partners with 1-CP on corporate payment solution
Corporate payment specialist AirPlus International is teaming up with 1-Click-Procurement (1-CP) to help clients tackle the problem of travel bookings being made outside corporate booking channels.
The new partnership, which was announced at the GBTA Europe conference in Copenhagen last week, will see 1-CP’s Corporate Checkout tool being used alongside AirPlus’ Virtual Cards product as a way of reducing “leakage” from programmes.
The two companies said travellers will now be able to use their corporate profiles to book travel “more easily” through preferred booking channels, which would “minimise out-of-policy purchases”.
The partnership includes the ability for employees to access their corporate profiles and apply pre-approved purchasing policies while booking travel. They will also benefit from automated expense reporting and reconciliation, while using AirPlus Virtual Cards “allows for secure and compliant payments”.
“This partnership brings together the best of both worlds, providing a seamless, secure experience for businesses and a swift user experience for their employees,” said 1-CP in a LinkedIn post.
AirPlus added that the partnership “marks a significant step towards more efficient and user-centric corporate spend management”.
“By addressing the challenge of maverick spend head-on and empowering employees to purchase corporate goods, as well as business travel with ease and compliance, 1-CP and AirPlus are setting a new standard for the industry,” said AirPlus in a statement.
1-CP is also working with The Apartment Network (TAN) on a new TAN Checkout booking solution using 1-CP’s Corporate Checkout technology.
This allows business travellers to book serviced apartments directly, while also complying with corporate travel policies and integrating with expense management systems.
“We believe these collaborations will significantly impact the corporate and travel payments landscape by enabling open booking directly on merchant channels, simplifying and streamlining the booking and expense management process for businesses and their employees,” added Eric-Jan Krausch, founder and CEO of 1-CP.
