Air Transat, voted the 2024 World’s Best Leisure Airline by Skytrax, is excited to unveil its summer 2025 flight program, which introduces a new non-stop route connecting Montreal to Valencia. This new service will expand the airline’s footprint in Spain, complementing its existing routes to Barcelona, Madrid, and Malaga. With a commitment to providing diverse and exciting travel options, Air Transat continues to solidify its role as a leading carrier for transatlantic and global travel.

New Non-Stop Service: Montreal to Valencia

Air Transat’s new Montreal-Valencia route is set to operate once a week on Fridays from June 20 to October 3, 2025. This addition marks a significant step in the airline’s strategy to enhance its transatlantic network and provide Canadians with direct access to one of Spain’s most vibrant cities. The route will be the only direct flight from the Americas to Valencia, offering travelers an exclusive opportunity to visit the Spanish Mediterranean coast with ease.

Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer of Transat, shared his enthusiasm about the new route, saying, “The addition of Valencia to our summer program, an exclusive non-stop route from the Americas, demonstrates our expertise in offering unique and diversified travel options. This destination completes the enhancement of our transatlantic network, catering to the growing demand for travel to Spain and Europe.”

Expansion of Air Transat’s Summer 2025 Network

For the summer of 2025, Air Transat is ramping up its operations with a significant increase in weekly flights to Europe, South America, and Florida. The airline will operate over 275 weekly non-stop flights to more than 40 destinations, connecting major Canadian hubs in Montreal, Toronto, and Quebec City with international locations.

In addition to Valencia, Air Transat is increasing its presence in Europe with additional flights to destinations like Basel-Mulhouse, London, and Amsterdam. From Montreal, there will be more frequent flights to Basel-Mulhouse in Switzerland and London in England, with additional flights to Amsterdam from Toronto. Furthermore, Quebec City will see an increase in the frequency of flights to Paris, which will rise to five weekly departures.

Air Transat’s commitment to strengthening its European network is evident as it continues to offer 26 transatlantic destinations next summer, including popular cities in France, Italy, the UK, Portugal, and Spain. The airline is also expanding its long-haul routes to Lima, Peru, and Marrakech, Morocco, enhancing its offerings to travelers seeking exotic and culturally rich destinations.

Optimized Medium-Haul Network

For travelers seeking sunshine, Air Transat is also increasing its medium-haul offerings to destinations in the South, such as Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. The airline will add one more weekly flight from Montreal to Cancún and Puerto Plata. From Toronto, there will be an additional weekly flight to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Varadero, Cuba, catering to the growing demand for beach holidays in these regions.

Additionally, Air Transat will continue to provide its services to Florida’s flagship destinations, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Orlando, in particular, will see an increase in frequency, with four additional weekly flights to accommodate the growing number of travelers to this popular destination.

Strategic Partnerships with Porter Airlines

In a bid to enhance connectivity within Canada, Air Transat has strengthened its partnership with Porter Airlines. This collaboration will provide travelers with easy access to Air Transat’s extensive international network from over 20 Canadian cities. The partnership will make it easier for passengers to travel from smaller Canadian cities to Air Transat’s major hubs in Montreal and Toronto, expanding the airline’s reach and accessibility across the country.
