Bangladesh – Nationals from Bangladesh in Europe (2023) – World

This snapshot is an overview of the presence of Bangladeshi Nationals in different parts of Europe in 2023 collected from various sources, such as Mixed Migration Flows to Europe, Eurostat, and DTM Flow Monitoring Survey data. The Flow Monitoring System presents the number of Bangladeshi nationals who arrived by land and sea in Europe and those who transited through the Western Balkan and Eastern Europe region in 2023. It is important not to sum up the figures, as this could entail double counting migrants who transited through multiple countries. The stock of Bangladeshi nationals residing in Europe by gender and European region are reported by Eurostat and the UK Office of Statistics for those in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK). Finally, the profile of Bangladeshi Nationals in Europe with underlying dynamics of migration are presented by the data from Flow Monitoring Survey (FMS) conducted by DTM Europe in six European countries during 2023.

The snapshot is part of the outputs of the European Union (EU) – funded DTM project “Regional Evidence for Migration Analysis and Policy” (REMAP). The objective of DTM REMAP is to strengthen the evidence-based formulation and implementation of humanitarian and development policy and programming on migration and forced displacement.
