The Ascott takes over two Chelsea FC hotels
The Ascott Limited has officially taken over the running of two hotels at Chelsea Football Club’s Stamford Bridge ground in West London.
The Singapore-based company announced this summer that it planned to take over the former Millennium and Copthorne hotels located within the stadium’s grounds. It is part of a wider agreement for Ascott to become the Premier League club’s global hotels partner.
The two neighbouring hotels, which have a total of 232 rooms, will now be collectively known as the Stamford Bridge Hotel. They are due to undergo renovation in 2025 and later reopened as Lyf Chelsea London.
Tan Bee Leng, chief commercial officer of The Ascott, added: “The takeover of Stamford Bridge Hotel marks a significant milestone for Ascott as we expand our footprint in London.
“We are really looking forward to rebranding the hotel under our Lyf brand, which is known for its vibrant and community-centric living spaces. Our plans for Lyf Chelsea London include extensive renovations to enhance guest experiences and create a dynamic environment that aligns with the Lyf brand’s ethos.”
