Ireland’s first Radisson RED opens in Galway
Radisson Hotels Group has debuted its first Radisson Red property in Ireland with the opening of new hotel in Galway.
The new-build Radisson RED Galway features 177 rooms with a “vibrant” colour palette, a rooftop bar and restaurant serving Irish fare “with a modern twist” and an additional restaurant, known as The Claddagh Bar & Grill, on the ground floor.
The hotel also includes more than 400 sqm of meeting and event space, with nine meeting rooms spread across two floors.
Located in the city’s Crown Square neighbourhood and a few minutes’ drive to Galway’s city centre, the hotel has been designed by Dublin-based architects Henry J Lyons and developed by the Rhatigan Group, which also developed the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Dublin and the Dublin Royal Convention Centre.
Tom Flanagan Karttunen, SVP Northern and Western Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, said: “Opening the first ever Radisson RED property in Ireland is a monumental occasion… The property perfectly marries the bold vibrance of the brand’s design with the culture and heritage of the city, and it is an ideal choice for business and leisure guests alike.”
