KLM completes long-haul premium economy rollout
KLM has completed the rollout of its new premium economy product across its long-haul fleet, the carrier confirmed on Thursday (19 December).
The Dutch airline first introduced its Premium Comfort seats in 2022, which have now been installed in all its Boeing 777 and 787 aircraft. A total of 54 aircraft have been fitted with the new cabin, which features 21 to 28 seats, depending on aircraft type.
The Premium Comfort seat, available on the carrier’s transatlantic routes, offers more legroom than a standard economy seat, as well as a larger entertainment screen and a footrest.
KLM chief experience officer, Barry ter Voert, said: “Over the past two years, colleagues have worked very hard to make the addition of this new class possible… The first feedback from our passengers has been very positive. Passengers specifically mention having more comfort and tastier meals.”
During the conversion of its Boeing 777 aircraft, KLM also upgraded its World Business Class seats to feature a sliding door.
