Amex GBT expands rollout of Air France-KLM NDC content
American Express Global Business Travel is expanding its New Distribution Capability rollout with Air France and KLM after beginning pilots in its Neo and Egencia platforms last year, the travel management company announced.
The pilots, announced in April 2023 and with select customers in France and the Netherlands, were part of a “phased approach” to NDC with the carriers. Amex GBT is now ready to scale up that content – delivered via Amadeus NDC-X – to more customers and geographies.
The TMC did not specify the scope of that expansion in the announcement, but told BTN Europe it had processed “hundreds of thousands of Air France-KLM transactions this year, across ten point-of-sale countries.” It added it is “now seeing millions of dollars of AF-KLM NDC sales every week.”
“We have collaborated closely with Amex GBT to develop a robust NDC solution for our joint customers, including better servicing capabilities compared to EDIFACT for exchanges and refunds,” said Air France-KLM VP of distribution Stefan Vanovermeir. “We are pleased to see that our NDC offerings, including the best fares thanks to continuous pricing and a more customised experience, will benefit a greater number of Amex GBT customers at scale.”
Amex GBT VP of content acquisition and strategic sourcing, John Bukowski, added: “This development
demonstrates our commitment to providing customers with the best travel options
within our marketplace, across all our solutions – proprietary and third-party
channels, online and offline.”
