BA confirms details of new Southeast Asia flights

British Airways will resume services between London and both Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur this upcoming winter season some four years after the routes were suspended due to the Covid pandemic.

From 28 October 2024 the carrier will recommence a seasonal service from London Gatwick to Bangkok. Operated three times weekly on Boeing 777 aircraft, flights on the route will depart Gatwick at 22:00 and arrive in the Thai capital at 15:55 the following day. Return flights depart Bangkok at 22:55 and arrive in London at 6:30 the following day.

The resumed service, first announced in March, will run throughout winter and into the carrier’s summer 2025 schedule (until 27 April).

A daily service between London Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur is also set to launch on 10 November. Flights will operate year-round on Boeing 787-9 aircraft, departing Heathrow at 20:15 and arriving in the Malaysian capital city at 17:30 the next day. Return flights depart at 23:30 and arrive in London at 5:45 the following morning.
