Carnival Cruise Line’s Legend Kicks Off Summer Season in Europe After Dry Dock

Carnival Cruise Line’s ship, Carnival Legend, has emerged from dry dock and kicked off its summer season in Europe.

The newly renovated ship embarked today from Barcelona, Spain, with several new enhancements and offerings.

Now, Carnival Legend has a Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, a venue for active-duty military and veterans that’s currently on 13 of the line’s ships. The gathering space is full of authentic military artifacts—on Carnival Legend, that means the Army boots of Deshauna Barber, a captain in the United States Army Reserve and the godmother of Carnival Vista.

Other enhancements include Chef’s Table, Dreams Studio and Carnival Adventures. The ship’s steakhouse has been renamed Fahrenheit 555, while the spa has been rebranded to Cloud 9 Spa and Fitness Center.

The casino has also been expanded, the retail shops were refreshed and a mini golf course was installed on the top deck. The ships Circle C and Camp Ocean spaces for kids have also been refreshed.

This summer, Carnival Legend will embark on 16 cruises in Europe, with departures from Dover (London), United Kingdom, and Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy. In October, the ship will cross the Atlantic and begin homeporting in Tampa.
