Cathay Pacific extends free inflight wifi to business class travellers
Cathay Pacific is extending its provision of free inflight wifi to business class passengers as well as to all Cathay Diamond loyalty members, regardless of their class of travel.
The complimentary service, previously reserved for travellers in first class, is now available to business class passengers and in November will be further extended to all Cathay Diamond members on “connected” aircraft.
More than 90 per cent of Cathay’s fleet is already equipped with wifi capabilities, including all long-haul aircraft, according to the carrier, with plans to extend connectivity across its entire fleet by mid-2025.
The complimentary wifi service offers “the same experience as paid wifi”, the carrier said. It allows users to connect with one device at a time to check emails, browse the internet and social media channels, stream audio and use messaging apps.
