CMAC Group promotes Seed to interim COO role

Ashley Seed

Ground transport and accommodation specialist CMAC Group has promoted Ashley Seed to the role of chief operating officer (COO) on an interim basis.

Seed, who has been at the UK-based company for more than 12 years, is currently director of commercial after working his way up from his initial role as a sales executive.

In his new position, Seed will be tasked with “accelerating the development of the CMAC customer experience”, as well as building a framework to expand across Europe by working with the company’s current bases in the UK, Spain, Portugal and Greece.

CMAC’s CEO Peter Slater said: “Ashley has been a pillar of CMAC for more than a decade. His expertise and understanding of our business and customers make him the ideal person to assume the COO role.”

The company, which was acquired by Singapore’s ComfortDelGro in January, said its UK sales rose by 8 per cent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2024, while international taxi bookings jumped by 150 per cent and hotel reservations increased by 81 per cent over the same period.

Seed added: “Through my role as interim COO, my personal aim is to make a difference to as many people’s lives as possible, whether that be a customer, supplier or colleague.”
