Couple Caught at Karachi Airport in Pakistan After Trying to Travel to Europe Using Fake British Work Visas – VisaGuide.News
A couple who were traveling abroad through Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan using fake documents has been dismissed by the Immigration Department of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
According to an FIA spokesperson, Talat Iqbal, together with his wife, attempted to travel to Europe with false British work visas, VisaGuide.World reports.
Local media also reported that the accused couple paid a sum of ₹2,400 to an agent in Lahore to obtain the forged visas. The FIA spokesperson further pointed out that this amount was received in several different accounts in order not to be noticed by the investigation authorities.
After undertaking investigations, the suspects were later transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further legal action.
2 Passengers Arresting at Lahore Aiport Trying to Travel Abroad With Fake Documents
At the same time, during this week, the FIA arrested two other passengers who tried to travel abroad from the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, with false documents.
In this regard, it is said that one of the passengers, Murad, had obtained a visa for two million Pakistani rupees through an agent, Yousuf Baig, while after his identification, he was arrested from the airport premises.
As a result, FIA Faisalabad and Gujranwala have filed cases against the agent. Another passenger, Amir Hamza, was caught trying to board flight PA-410 to Dubai.
After checking his belongings, a forged Italian passport with fake stamps and a fake residence card in Spain were discovered. The two accused persons were subsequently transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Lahore for further legal proceedings.
FIA offloads Man Intending to Travel to Italy From Islamabad’s Airport Using Fake Travel Documents
In a similar operation last month, the FIA stopped a passenger traveling to Italy via Islamabad’s New International Airport in Pakistan with fake travel documents. In addition, mobile phones and laptops were found on two passengers arriving from abroad.
According to the officials, a passenger named Sajid Abbasi from Mandi Bahauddin arrived at the airport to travel to Italy. Immigration officials found the Italian resident’s fake card, blanked it and turned it over to the Anti-Trafficking District. During the initial investigations, the suspect announced that he received the Italian visa from an agent.
FIA officials also searched the luggage of passengers Mohammad Suleman and Mohammad Abid, who arrived from Dubai, thus finding five iPhone 15 Promax, three iPhone 13, three Samsung Galaxy S24 and eight laptops worth a total of seven million Pakistani rupees.
Moreover, the suspects from Karachi were handed over to the customs authorities for further legal action.
