CWT launches assistance service for travellers with disabilities
CWT has launched a special assistance service for travellers with visible and non-visible disabilities.
The service, currently available in 20 countries with a global rollout planned by year-end, includes ‘a broad range’ of support.
This includes arranging TSA Cares airport and airline services, service animal reservations, fast-track immigration, special service requests at train stations, such as wheelchair assistance, and booking accommodation with reduced mobility facilities.
Travellers using the service have access to a dedicated email and phone number that directs them to a team of travel counsellors who, according to CWT, have been through specialised training for empathy and awareness.
The TMC said it has also adapted its traveller profile tool to capture special assistance requirements to avoid the need for repeated self-disclosure.
“We believe that all business travellers should have a seamless and comfortable experience, regardless of their individual needs,” said Stephanie Lewis, director of service design at CWT.
“Developing accessible travel solutions is a collective industry-wide responsibility, and consistency is crucial in getting this right, so we are committed to working closely with our partners to drive meaningful change,” she added.
