EA Sports FC 24 Was Europe’s Best-Selling Physical Game For First Half Of 2024 – PlayStation Universe

GfK Entertainment data has revealed that EA Sports FC 24 was the best-selling physical video game in Europe for the first half of 2024.

Released in September 2023, EA Sports FC 24 managed to fend off stiff competition from Nintendo Switch heavyweights Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the latter of which has become ubiquitous in the multiform chart despite launching way back in April 2017.

The data itself covers a number of regions in PAL marketings, including Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and the UK.

EA Sports FC 24’s success probably isn’t too surprising as football games have always proven hugely popular in Europe, with EA’s FIFA series always dominating the charts for months on end. While that particular series is no technically longer around, the EA Sports FC branding is essentially a spiritual successor.

The publishing giant recently announced the next instalment in the franchise, EA Sports FC 25, which is set to arrive later this year for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
