EasyJet appoints De Raeymaeker as new CFO
Budget carrier easyJet has appointed Jan De Raeymaeker as its new chief financial officer as part of major changes to the company’s senior management.
As previously announced, the airline’s CEO Johan Lundgren is due to step down after seven years in the position on 1 January 2025 when he will be replaced by easyJet’s current CFO Kenton Jarvis.
Following this change of CEOs, De Raeymaeker will take over from Jarvis as easyJet’s new CFO from 20 January.
De Raeymaeker has been CFO at rail freight operator Lineas since 2019 and previously worked in the aviation industry as CFO of Brussels Airlines, which is part of the Lufthansa Group.
Jarvis said: “Jan brings with him a deep knowledge of the transport and airline sector, which we believe will be of significant benefit to easyJet going forward, and his financial and commercial acumen will be critical as we continue to build towards the delivery of our medium-term targets and our purpose of making low-cost travel easy.”
