EasyJet expands Birmingham operation with new winter routes
Budget airline easyJet has expanded operations at the UK’s Birmingham Airport with the launch of five new routes this winter.
EasyJet, which opened a base at the airport at the start of the summer 2024 season, has added services to Marrakech, Reykjavik, Prague, Krakow and Hurghada in Egypt to the winter 2024-25 schedule.
“The introduction of these five new routes shows the continuing strong demand from easyJet customers in the Midlands, offering even greater choice and more convenient connections to popular destinations,” said the airline in a statement.
Services from Birmingham to Marrakech, Reykjavik and Prague will all fly twice per week, while flights to Krakow will operate up to seven days a week year-round. The Birmingham-Hurghada route will be served once per week.
Since opening its base at the airport in March, easyJet has launched 22 new routes from Birmingham – taking its total up to 33 destinations.
Andrew Pelham, aviation development manager at Birmingham Airport, added: “We’re delighted to be joining forces with easyJet to provide five new routes from its new Birmingham base, further strengthening our partnership.”
