EGBA announces dates for European Safer Gambling Week 2024

The event will highlight safer gambling resources and services across Europe.

The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has announced the European Safer Gambling Week 2024 dates.

The week will be held between 18-24 November and will be the fourth year where the initiative is being run.

The event will include workshops and discussions on the latest developments in regulation and research.

EGBA hopes to invite stakeholders across Europe’s gambling sector, including operators, regulators, support organisations and experts-by-experience.

A social media campaign will also be held alongside the event.

EGBA Secretary General, Maarten Haijer, said: “We’re pleased to announce the dates for this year’s European Safer Gambling Week and look forward to another impactful edition.

“The initiative is an important part of EGBA’s commitment to raising awareness about safer gambling and fostering a strong culture of player protection in Europe.

“This year, we aim to reach even more Europeans with safer gambling tips and messages and bring together a diverse range of stakeholders for a week full of meaningful discussions about the future of player protection.”

Companies or individuals who are interested in participating in the event can sign up at the EGBA website, where they can receive updates and further instructions.

Haijer continued: “Safer gambling is a shared responsibility, and we encourage operators and other stakeholders to join us in supporting this important initiative.

“Together, we can raise the bar.”
