Emerald Airlines to launch Glasgow-Cork flights
Emerald Airlines, which operates Aer Lingus Regional services, is to launch a new route this winter between Glasgow and Cork in southern Ireland.
The new service will start on 27 October and operate four times per week on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Emerald, which signed a 10-year franchise agreement with Aer Lingus in 2021, already operates two routes from Glasgow to Dublin (up to four daily flights) and Belfast (two daily services).
Ian Lough, head of commercial at Emerald Airlines, said: “This addition reflects our ongoing commitment to providing our customers with a wider array of travel options and enhanced convenience.”
Chris Tibbett, aero director at Glasgow’s owner AGS Airports, added: “With over 30,000 seats available, we are confident this service will be a great success, benefiting both leisure and business travellers.”
