After a very entertaining first forty-five minutes, Slovakia, lead Belgium 1-0 at the break. Seven minutes into the game, the Red Devils had already seen Dubravka deny a close-range Lukaku opportunity that had the potential to be game-winning, and then a defensive breakdown at the back allowed Schranz to score an unexpected first goal on the rebound! Casteels made a fantastic stop to deny Slovakia a good opportunity to increase their advantage with a thunderous volley from Haraslin. Belgium can’t hide from the fact that they have been extremely casual in front of the goal, but Domenico Tedesco has a massive task ahead to get the players up and running. Meanwhile Slovakia have done a great job carrying the lead into the second half as they have looked solid in defence and have threatened from the very beginning of the game.

Welcome everyone! Greetings and thanks for joining the Euro 2024 match between Belgium against Slovakia (Group-E fixture).

Belgium look to capitalise on a fixture where they are the clear favourites, against Slovakia. The Belgian Red Devils are entering this competition unbeaten in the previos 15 matches and are looking steady enough to perform at the biggest stage of international European football.

Belgium made a shocking decision of leaving their star goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois out of the squad before the campaign got started. However, they have the experience of Keon Casteels between the sticks that could prove pivotal for the Belgians.

Slovakia on the other hand, are also looking like a team with an intent, losing just one game in their previous seven fixtures. Slovakia have proved in the past that they can cause some major upsets and they will be focusing on making the perfect start to the campaign against Belgium.
