Manager Philippe Clement is urging Rangers fans to keep faith with him and says he is “200% confident” his team is on the right track.
The Ibrox side lost at Kilmarnock on Sunday, leaving them six points behind leaders Celtic and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
Clement, whose side host FCSB of Romania in the Europa League on Thursday, had guided his team to the top of the table in late February.
However, five domestic defeats contributed to missing out on the Premiership title and Scottish Cup to Celtic, while four losses this campaign have hindered their domestic and European ambitions.
“The fans will see that we’ll be better,” Clement said. “The people who’re unhappy now, I understand but I’m working even harder than I was before.”
Clement was the third Rangers managerial appointment in less than two years when he replaced Michael Beale a year ago and believes stability is “the only way”.
“Not just here but in clubs all over Europe and the world,” the Belgian added. “If you change ideas every three months, six months, or every year, there’s no consistency. You need one process with everyone going in the same direction.
“That’s crucial. Otherwise there will always be ups and downs. If you go with the motion of the day, or one or two results, then you can never create consistency.
“Last season, all the fans were behind the story. They were really happy. I didn’t go with the hype of that moment. I also don’t go with the drama now. There’s a big space in between and we are in that space. I believe so much in this club and its potential.”
