Europcar bolsters UK and Ireland leadership team
Car rental firm Europcar has bolstered its leadership team in the UK and Ireland as it looks to “keep pace with the changing mobility landscape”, including the continued focus on sustainability.
Mark Newberry, who was previously Europcar’s UK and Ireland commercial director for two years, has been promoted to the new role of transformation and strategy director where he will focus on implementing “critical transformation projects”.
Meanwhile Paul McNeice takes up the commercial director position, which he will combine with his existing role as head of country for Ireland. He will be responsible for driving growth for Europcar in the UK and Ireland in 2025 “and beyond”.
Gary Smith, managing director of Europcar Mobility Group UK & Ireland, said: “There are some big challenges ahead in the mobility space for our customers: from adjusting to the new hybrid working model to transitioning to ever-more sustainable transport solutions.
“It’s critical, therefore, that we remain focused on delivering solutions that are both innovative and fit for purpose. I am confident that these new appointments to our leadership team will further bolster our ability to support businesses and individuals as they aim to reduce their impact on the environment.”
The moves come after Europcar Mobility Group announced a new strategic framework earlier this year, known as EXCEED. This strategy focuses on three key “pillars”: operations, profitable growth and the development of new services to “meet customers’ new expectations and emerging societal trends”.
