European Cricket Championship 2024: Know ECC schedule and watch live streaming in India

The European Cricket Championship 2024 will start in Cartama, Spain on September 23.

ECC 2024, which is organised by the European Cricket Network, will have a new format this year with the teams split into two divisions, the Challenger Division and Premier Division. 

ECC 2024 will have a total of 127 matches of 10-overs a side that will be played in both Divisions with the final slated on October 20. All the matches will be played at the Cartama Oval in Cartama.

The ECC 2024 will start with the Challenger Division first with 11 teams divided further into two groups. Isle of Man, Estonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Turkiye and Slovenia will be part of Group 1 whereas Greece, Czechia, Luxembourg, Cyprus and Serbia round off Group 2 in the Challenger Division.

The group matches in the Challenger Division are scheduled from September 23 to September 29. The playoffs will follow the next day and will run till October 2.

The Premier Division, meanwhile, will have 20 teams split into four groups of five each with the defending champions England XI coming into the fray in the Premier Division Finals later in the tournament.

Group A in the Premier Division of ECC 2024 will have Ireland XI, Scotland XI, France, Portugal and Guernsey while Germany, Hungary, Denmark, Austria and Romania are part of Group B. Host Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Malta and Finland are in Group C with Netherlands XI, Jersey, Italy, Sweden and Norway rounding off Group D.

The Premier Division group stage matches will run from October 3 to October 14. England XI, the defending champions, will feature in the final week of the ECC 2024 when they will play against the group toppers from all four groups.

The winner and the runner-up of the ECC 2024 Challenger Division will be promoted to the ECC 2025 Premier Division. The bottom two teams in the Premier Division after the tournament will get relegated to the Challenger Division in ECC 2025.

England XI won the previous edition of the ECC as they beat Netherlands XI in the final.

Live streaming of the European Cricket Championship 2024 will be available on the FanCode app and website in India.

There will be no live telecast of ECC 2024 on any TV channels in India.
