Slovenia, renowned for its stunning mountains, picturesque lakes, fine wines, historic castles, and vibrant cities, has seen a surge in tourism, reaching unprecedented levels. In 2023, the country recorded its most successful year for tourism, with 6.19 million visitors (a 5.5% increase from 2022) and 16.13 million overnight stays (a 3.5% rise). Foreign visitors made up 72% of all overnight stays, with Ljubljana seeing a remarkable 20% increase in tourist arrivals. Germany, Austria, and Italy were the leading markets, underscoring the growing demand for better rail links to Slovenia.

The newly launched routes not only connect Slovenia to its neighbouring nations but also open up opportunities for exploring wider European destinations. Thanks to Rail Europe’s Multi-Providers feature, travel partners can now book seamless multi-leg journeys across various European rail networks. For those eager to explore Slovenia’s breathtaking landscapes, the Eurail/Interrail Slovenia Pass offers an ideal solution for effortless travel throughout the country.
