Finnair opens new lounge at Helsinki Airport
Finnair this week opened a new Schengen lounge at Helsinki Airport, with the concept based on customer feedback and “inspired” by the carrier’s Nordic design.
The new lounge can accommodate 440 guests, with dedicated spaces for dining, working and resting as well as an exclusive ‘Platinum Corner’ for Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo loyalty members (pictured).
The space is open to travellers with Business Class Classic and Flex tickets as well as Finnair Plus Gold members on “the majority of flights across Europe”, including when connecting in Helsinki from the UK and travelling onwards to Finnish Lapland and the wider Nordic and Baltic region, according to Finnair. Lounge access can also be purchased via the carrier’s website and app.
Travellers flying directly to and from the UK and Ireland can access the carrier’s Platinum Wing and Business Lounge in the non-Schengen area of Helsinki Airport.
