For the 14th year in a row, Finnair has been named the Best Airline in Northern Europe at the 2024 World Airline Awards organized by Skytrax. This accolade reflects consistent excellence as voted by air travelers in the world’s most extensive annual survey of airline passenger satisfaction. Dubbed the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” the survey evaluates passenger experiences at airports and aboard flights, encompassing all aspects of the airline service spectrum.

”We are honored to receive this recognition, which is a testimony to the hard work and dedication of our Finnair team who strive to ensure the smoothest possible travel experience for our customers every day across our customer touchpoints. We continue investing in seamless customer journey, starting from our digital channels and customer care to the inflight experience and cabin design,” says Ole Orvér, Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer.

In addition to being named the Best Airline in Northern Europe, Finnair has also secured accolades for having the Best Cabin Crew in the region and being the Cleanest Airline in Europe—a testament to their impeccable aircraft maintenance standards. Moreover, Finnair has ascended to the 23rd spot in the global airline rankings, climbing one position further in the international arena.

Finnair is intensifying its efforts to enhance the flying experience, with a sharp focus on operational reliability, the expansion of digital services, and broadening passenger choices. Recently, the airline celebrated the completion of a 200-million-euro renovation of its long-haul cabin interiors, marking the upgrade of its entire long-haul fleet. Additionally, the inauguration of a new, expansive Finnair Lounge in the Helsinki Airport Schengen area underscores their commitment to customer comfort. Looking ahead, Finnair plans to further elevate its service by upgrading the cabins of its regional E190 aircraft fleet in the forthcoming months.
