Ford has announced plans to reduce its workforce in Europe by 4,000 employees by the end of 2027. This move is part of a broader restructuring strategy aimed at creating a more cost-competitive organizational structure. The job cuts will primarily impact Ford’s operations in Germany and the UK, with minimal reductions expected in other European markets.
The company is focusing particularly on its European passenger car business, noting that the demand for electric vehicles is falling short of expectations. As a result, Ford is also revising its production plans for new models, including the Explorer and Capri, to better align with market demand.
