Germany v Denmark score LIVE: Euro 2024 match resumes after storm halts play
Germany and Denmark’s Euro 2024 last 16 match in Dortmund has been halted due to a storm, as thunder and lightning raged overhead in the first half and hail stones began to fall.
Referee Michael Oliver took the players off the pitch with just over 30 minutes having been played and the score 0-0. “Due to adverse weather conditions, the match has been suspended,” screens inside the stadium read.
The hosts came in as favourites having strolled through the group stages, with two impressive performances in their opening two games meaning they had qualified with a game to spare when they faced Switzerland, though the nature of that 1-1 draw meant that manager Julian Nagelsmann will be demanding an exciting performance.
Denmark had a far more underwhelming group stage, with three draws meaning they picked up a measly three points that was just enough to creep through in second place in Group C.

Half-time! Germany 0-0 Denmark
45+1 mins: There goes the whistle to end the first half and there’s nothing to separate the teams. It’s been entertaining and fascinating for a number of reasons not least the lightning storm above the stadium.
As it stands though Denmark have effectively kept Germany at bay.

Germany 0-0 Denmark
Denmark should be ahead. They work the ball quickly through midfield on the counter attack. One touch passes release Alexander Bah who gets caught by Antonio Rudiger just before he gets to the box.
Bah manages to poke the ball into the penalty area where Rasmus Hojlund arrives. Manuel Neuer sprints towards the ball and gets there just as Hojlund takes the shot.
The German goalkeeper gets a body block on the effort and keeps it out!

Denmark work the ball across the pitch nicely and find Andreas Skov Olsen. He brings the ball into the box and slips it to Alexander Bah.
Bah looks to square the ball but gives it away. A strong press from Rasmus Hojlund wins the ball back but he’s panicked and smokes a shot into the side netting.

The free kick is then played out to David Raum who sends a cross into the penalty area. The ball comes to Rudiger who flicks it on to Havertz with the striker bombing a header straight at Kasper Schmeichel who keeps it out!

Resumption! Germany 0-0 Denmark
Eight minutes or so to play (plus added time) until the end of the first half and another break in play. The rain has fully stopped with the adverse weather seemingly passed over the stadium.
This will be an annoying little session for the players as Michael Oliver gets the match going once more.
