GlobalStar partners with M&E platform Qondor
TMC network GlobalStar Travel Management has signed a deal with meetings and events management platform Qondor that will allow its members to access the M&E platform.
The global partnership will provide GlobalStar members with a ‘one-stop-shop’ that supports the entire event planning workflow, including budget management and invoicing, event registration, reconciliation and post-event reporting, according to the companies.
UK-based GlobalStar has more than 50 members with 2,400 offices globally – including DER BUSINESS Travel (Germany), Travel Counsellors (UK), VoyagExpert (France), Travel Desk (Italy) and In Out Travel (Spain) – and is ranked as Europe’s fourth largest TMC network in BTN Europe’s Leading TMCs 2024 report.
GlobalStar’s executive director IT and supplier relations, Julian Russell, said: “In the complex environment of meetings and events management Qondor delivers a platform that will help our TMC partners to centrally manage and control the many disparate components that make up a typical meeting request from start to end.”
Nils Olav Rislå, chief operating officer and co-founder of Norway-based Qondor, added: “M&E is one of the more profitable and rapidly growing lines of business within travel. However, many agencies do not have a solid platform in which to build and grow their M&E business.
“We see that M&E needs are frequently deprioritised in favour of corporate travel, often leading to inefficient processes and lack of overview, particularly in the processes of budgeting, proposals, confirmations, invoicing and reconciliations. We are therefore excited to showcase to GlobalStar partners how Qondor can help them deliver high-quality M&E services with efficiency and control,” he said.
