Greengage secures B Corp status for sustainability efforts

Sustainability specialistGreengage Solutions has successfully secured B Corp status for its own social and environment performance.

The company, which operates the ECOsmart sustainability certification programme, said that being certified as a B Corporation was a “a significant chapter” in Greengage’s own sustainability efforts and its commitment to “balancing profit with purpose”.

Andrew Perolls, CEO of Greengage, said: “For us, becoming a B Corp isn’t just about the accolade; it’s a demonstration of our dedication to the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and responsibility for the planet.

In a statement, Greengage said it had achieved an overall score of 93.6 in its B Corp impact assessment, compared with a median score of 50.9 for all businesses completing this process. 

ECOsmart certification was launched by Greengage in 2020 for hotels, meeting venues and other businesses. So far more than 400 hotels, meeting venues, travel management companies and event agencies have achieved this certification for their sustainability efforts.
