How to watch Manchester United vs. Twente in Europe League opener: time, FREE live stream
Manchester United will host FC Twente as the new season of the UEFA Europa League gets rolling on Wednesday.
One of nine tilts on the Matchday 1 schedule, this one from Old Trafford will start at 3 p.m. EDT and you can watch it on Paramount+ (FREE trial) or TUDN, which you can live stream on fubo TV (FREE trial) or DirecTV Stream (add-on, FRE trial).
This marks the first-ever continental meeting between the two clubs, with the Red Devils boasting a strong record against Dutch teams at home, having lost only once in their last nine encounters at Old Trafford.
Manchester United is currently 11th in the Premier League table after a start full of mixed results, and the Red Devils enter Wednesday’s match following a scoreless draw against Crystal Palace.
They announced that they have added seven players to their squad for tonight’s match, including summer signings Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui and Manuel Ugartem.
Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, who are United academy graduates, have not been included on the 25-man A-List for the competition because UEFA rules state that club-trained players born after 1 January 2003 do not have to be counted as part of the main group, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Meanwhile, Twente are coming off back-to-back shutout victories in the Eredivisie, defeating Heerenveen 2-0 and Almere 5-0. They also scored four goals in two matches against Austrian Bundesliga opponent RB Salzburg.

So they figure to give the Red Devils a tough match.
One interesting note, per strettynews.com: They are nicknamed the Tukkers due to the number of people involved in the textile industry in the region. A tucker was someone working for the textile industry at the time.
Key players to look out for include highly rated goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall, young centre half Mees Hilgers and attacking midfielder Sam Steijn, who has been in great form this season with five goals. Other notable names include Ricky van Wolfswinckel (formally of Norwich), Sam Lammers and the pacy but inconsistent Rots Van Bergen.
