Hyatt expands in Balkans with five Regency hotels
Hyatt is to strengthen its presence in the Balkans region of southeastern Europe with the opening of five new Hyatt Regency properties by 2027.
The US hotel company is scheduled to open Hyatt Regency Zadar in Croatia next year, followed by Hyatt Regency Tirana in Albania’s capital in 2026.
Other new properties in the region will be Hyatt Regency Palase Resort & Spa, also in Albania, Hyatt Regency Novi Sad in Serbia, and Hyatt Regency Aro Palace Brașov in Romania, which are all scheduled to open in 2027.
This expansion in the region comes after Hyatt Regency opened properties in Pravets in Bulgaria and Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort in Montenegro.
Michel Morauw, Hyatt’s managing director North for the EAME (Europe, Africa and Middle East) region, said: “The expansion in this region with five Hyatt Regency properties in the next few years is indicative of our ambitious approach.”
Elsewhere in the region, Hyatt has recently opened Park Hyatt London River Thames, which marks the upmarket brand’s debut in the UK.
