Icelandair to launch Reykjavik-Istanbul route
Nordic airline Icelandair plans to launch flights between Reykjavik and Istanbul in Turkey from 5 September 2025.
The new route will operate four times per week with a flight time of around five hours and 30 minutes.
Meanwhile Icelandair and Turkish Airlines will also expand their existing codeshare partnership, which was announced in summer 2023. Icelandair’s flight schedule to Istanbul will be co-ordinated to align with Turkish Airlines’ flights to and from Asia and the Middle East.
US carrier Southwest Airlines announced in September that Icelandair would be its first partner airline, with the bilateral partnership scheduled to begin in 2025.
