ITA Airways commences Rome-Jeddah flights
Italian carrier ITA Airways has commenced a new direct service from Rome to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The connection with operate three times weekly via A321neo aircraft that feature three cabins: business class (12 seats), premium economy (12 seats) and economy (141 seats).
Flights depart Rome Fiumicino at 15:05 and arrive at Jeddah King Abdulaziz International Airport at 21:10 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, flights from the Saudi Arabian city depart at 3:30 and arrive in Rome at 7:00 the following morning on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The new Rome-Jeddah route follows the launch of direct flights between Rome and Riyadh in June and ahead of a new Rome-Dubai service, which is set to commence on 27 October.
ITA Airways chief commercial officer, Emiliana Limosani, said the new service is “part of our ongoing summer network expansion, which boasts excellent booking results”, adding that Saudi Arabia is “a rapidly growing market” for the carrier.
