ITA Airways introduces Apple Pay

ITA Airways has introduced Apple Pay among its digital payment options.

The payment option is currently available for travellers in Italy and the US via the carrier’s website and app, with plans to roll this out “across all international markets”, according to ITA Airways general manager Andrea Benassi, however he did not provide a timeline for this rollout.

The integration of Apple Pay follows an expanded partnership between the Italia carrier and Dutch-based payment platform Adyen.

Benassi added: “This collaboration with Adyen marks a major step forward in our strategy of digital and technological transformation, reaffirming our ongoing commitment to meeting our customers’ needs.”
