Norse Atlantic adds GDS distribution through APG deal
Long-haul budget carrier Norse Atlantic Airways has partnered with airline distributor Air Promotion Group to make its flights available through global distribution systems (GDSs).
The agreement allows Norse Atlantic to distribute its content through the APG Interline E-Ticketing (IET) system to “all major GDS platforms worldwide”, which includes Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport.
The Norway-based carrier’s flights will be displayed under the A1 code via a “pseudo codeshare agreement”, the companies said in a statement. Norse Atlantic’s content is also available for agencies to book via APG Connect, which is APG’s B2B platform.
Bård Nordhagen, chief commercial officer at Norse Atlantic Airways, said it wanted to “expand how we connect with our passengers through the GDS system”.
“We are excited to know many future trade partners will embrace this solution, making it possible to offer comfortable travel experiences at more affordable fares on our flights across our economy, as well as our premium class,” added Nordhagen.
Norse Atlantic operates long-haul routes from several European cities including Oslo, Athens, London, Berlin, Rome and Paris to primarily North American destinations. Last month, it announced plans for its first route from Sweden with flights from Stockholm to Bangkok due to start in October 2025.
Ophélie Cherdrong, executive product director of APG IET, said: “We are very excited to welcome Norse Atlantic Airways to the APG network. The integration of their flights into our IET platform will significantly enhance their global distribution, empowering IATA and non-IATA travel agents and customers worldwide to book Norse flights with ease.”
