Oman Air to introduce Business Studio cabins
Oman Air has unveiled a new Business Studio cabin which will replace its existing First Class product on long-haul services.
The Gulf-based carrier said the Business Studio product would retain the previous cabin’s “spacious cabin layout, classic lie-flat seats and wifi connectivity”, but it would be available at “more affordable” fares.
The new cabin will be mainly available on Oman Air’s services from its Muscat base to London Heathrow and Bangkok.
Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, said: “Inspired by valuable guest feedback, and to adapt and evolve in line with global market trends, we have strategically refined our premium offering to deliver greater value and appeal.
“The traditional First Class experience has seen diminished demand, and after careful analysis and benchmarking against industry standards, we decided to retire the product.”
Korfiatis added that the airline was focusing on “delivering an exceptional Business Class experience that better meets modern traveller expectations”.
“Moreover, we’re offering it all at a more competitive price point,” he said.
The airline’s new Business Studio features a seat pitch of 82 inches, privacy walls and 23-inch personal screens. It will be available to book from 9 September.
