One Global expands in Europe – The Business Travel Magazine

One Global has signed up French TMC, Amplitudes Business Travel, as its latest partner.

With offices in Toulouse and Paris, Amplitudes was established in 1991 and now employ 165 people, specialising in corporate business travel, group travel and luxury individual travel.

The boutique agency was the brainchild of José Martinez and now turns over €175m a year.

Jodie Gentles, the newly-appointed Managing Director of One Global, said: Amplitudes “will add further strength and scale to our global community”.

“You only have to look at the progress José and his team have made over the years to know they are innovative, a market leader and very well respected in France and around the world,” she said.

Amplitudes founder, José Martinez, started out as a guide in the Sahara and the Himalayas 30 years ago and his daughter Laura Martinez is now also part of the management team.

“After 33 years of working exclusively in the French market, we have become the second-largest independent TMC in France,” he said.

“Joining the One Global community is a tremendous opportunity for us to internationalise our company and accelerate our growth.

“In One Global, we have found a community that aligns with our values, with human-sized corporations and engaged managers.

“It also opens up the possibility for us to respond to global RFPs with the One Global community and, hopefully, to help the community win new tenders.”

Alongside the promotion of Jodie Gentles to the newly-created position of One Global MD, Cally Davenport and Laura Welsh will assume the new titles of Head of Global Implementations & Technology and Head of Global Partnerships respectively.

Barb Barnard, EVP Sales for World Travel and Ewan Kassir, Director of Sales for Clarity, have also joined the board of One Global to support the management team and help further drive the group’s sales focus.
