Qatar Airways resumes flights to Venice after four-year hiatus

Qatar Airways has reintroduced flights between Doha and Venice some four years after the route was suspended due to the Covid pandemic.

The daily service departs Doha at 9:00 and arrives at Venice Marco Polo Airport at 14:20. Meanwhile, flights from Venice depart at 16:50 and arrive in Qatar at 23:10.

The airline currently flies to more 170 global destinations, with the resumed Venice service marking its third to Italy, following existing routes to Milan and Rome

Qatar Airways chief commercial officer, Thierry Antinori, said: “Italy is a key market for Qatar Airways, and we are committed to providing our passengers with more travel opportunities and seamless connections to explore this wonderful country.”

Monica Scarpa, CEO of SAVE Group, which manages Venice airport, described the resumption of the Doha-Venice route as “essential” to the airport’s long-haul network.

“Qatar Airways, with its daily flight to Doha, guarantees widespread connections with the Far East, in particular with Southeast Asia,” she said.
