Radisson expands booking for meeting and event venues
Radisson Hotel Group is enabling meeting and event planners to book venues at its properties via external MICE platforms.
The group said it has expanded its partnership with software specialist MeetingPackage to allow hotel meeting and event spaces to be booked through third party portals rather than just via Radisson’s own website.
Radisson is integrating its EMMA technology platform with MeetingPackage’s meeting and events’ software to enable access for third party event specialists such as Venuedirectory who can search and book M&E venues at hotels.
Angela Graun, VP of sales operations and meeting and events at Radisson Hotel Group, said: “Building on our multi-year partnership, we are now extending our reach for instant book capabilities to other marketplaces and customers.
“With MeetingPackage as a channel manager, we are evolving our groups plus meeting and events distribution strategy even further.”
Radisson is introducing this technology at several UK hotels this month, with a roll-out planned across the group’s portfolio of EMEA hotels, starting with “key target MICE markets” including Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands.
Joonas Ahola, CEO and founder of MeetingPackage, added: “Through a single integration with MeetingPackage’s robust distribution APIs, distribution partners – including event marketplaces, TMCs, DMCs, and other industry providers searching for meeting rooms or group accommodation blocks – can now access an even larger network of properties.”
Radisson has also been working with digital meetings and events platform HeadBox on its new HeadBox 3D Studio software, which allows hotel meetings and events teams to send personalised digital proposals to clients using 3D “immersive guided walkthroughs” of their venues.
